dc.description.abstractAn efficient green synthesis of 2-hydroxynaphthyl pyrroles using citric or trichloroacetic acid as a catalyst for the three-component condensation reaction of benzaldehyde, β-naphthol and pyrrolyl benzamide under solvent-free conditions is described. Its advantages refer to high yields, short reaction time and simple work-up.
