Electrical energy used in the steel industry places increasing demands on automated control systems in terms of energy efficiency and ecology. Determining the active power of arcs in a three-phase electric arc furnace is an important applied problem. It is connected to the automatic voltage regulators and the optimal mode of operation of the furnaces by the requirements of the technological process. Presented is an indirect graph-analytical method for determining the voltages and powers of arcs in a three-phase electric arc furnace. An example of the application of the method, based on real operating parameters from a steel plant was given.
